Built by someone with 85 unfinished ideas
IdeaSweeper started as a personal clean-up. It turned into the tool that made the clean-up possible.
Most of my ideas went into an AI chat. A business plan in ChatGPT, the same idea reworked in Claude a month later, a half-built version of it sitting in a folder on my C drive with a Git repo and no README. Multiply that by a few hundred chats and you get a pile nobody can see the bottom of.
The chats were all downloadable. The folders were all on my own computer. What was missing was one place to put them side by side, spot the duplicates, and decide which ideas were worth finishing.
What I would not compromise on
Nothing gets uploaded. These chats hold half-formed business plans and personal notes. A tool that reads them should never need to store them, so IdeaSweeper reads everything inside your own browser and keeps your board there.
Nothing moves without you. The AI sorting step suggests; you confirm every single move.
Pay once. Software that runs on your computer should not cost you every month.
Where it stands
The first board swept 85 ideas out of my own chats and folders. Everything that has shipped since is on the changelog. Questions or a source you want supported: [email protected].
